Intersection Advertising Agency hires 4 new employees, expands services
MUNCIE, INDIANA — Local advertising agency Intersection has added four employees to its staff this summer, doubling in size.
New full-time employees include Cortney Felton, senior project manager, and Melissa Jones, copywriter. Cameron Toner has been hired as a part-time photographer and videographer, and Jake Turpin has been hired as a freelance website coordinator.
Felton, hired in June, worked at The Star Press for 13 years, eight of which were spent in the paper’s advertising department. In addition to this experience, she brings value to the Intersection team in project management, account services and client relations.
Jones, Toner and Turpin were all interns at the agency this summer and were hired at the end of their program in July.
Jones, who graduated from Ball State University this May, studied creative writing and worked in various facets of the university, including the Ball State Daily News and Jacket Copy Creative, an in-house marketing agency for the Department of English. She brings value to the company’s ability to produce social and website content, scripts and press releases.
Toner, who is still enrolled as a full-time telecommunications student at Ball State University, was a photographer for Cardinal Communications and the university’s College of Communication, Information, and Media. Having a photographer and videographer on the Intersection staff allows the agency to expand its services to include original, in-house photography and video production.
Turpin, a May Ball State University graduate, studied advertising and was a part of the university’s American Advertising Federation chapter. Adding an additional web developer to the staff at Intersection allows the agency to expand its services in comprehensive website development and maintenance.
“Being able to welcome four new people to the Intersection team this summer is an exciting indicator of our company’s abilities and successes,” Allison Robbins, general manager, said. “With this influx of creativity and talent, I’m eager to see new creative services we can provide for our growing number of clients, especially now that we have expanded in-house photography and development capabilities.”
